TNT
FREESTYLE MOTOCROSS:
Scheduled FMX demo to “whip” crowd into frenzy
WHEN:
Saturday, July 7, Kent Heritage Festival
WHAT:
TNT Freestyle Motocross show -- the riders will be jumping 35 feet into
the air over an 80-foot gap on two Red Bull freestyle ramps. Admission
is free and open to the public.
WHERE:
Historic Downtown Kent on Franklin Avenue
WHO:
Top freestyle motocross (FMX) riders Tommy “Tom Cat” Clowers and Jeff
“Full Tilt” Tilton will perform the mind-boggling, in-the-air tricks
that have made FMX the highlight event at each X Games.
Clowers, an eight-time X-Games medalist and the
Step-Up world record-holder, is a pioneer of freestyle motocross and has
helped to develop it into the most popular action sport today. Tilton
is known for throwing a gnarly trick called a “whip,” in which the
motorcycle is completely flat and sideways while flying in the air. The
duo will also be executing other FMX tricks like the “rock solid,”
“no-handed whip,” and the “double nac.”
