Name: Dog Days of Summer 2016
    Date: August 20, 2016
    Time: 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM EDT
    Event Description:
The Dog Days of Summer makes its return to the Hometown Plaza on Saturday August 20th for a day dedicated to dogs, dog owners and animal lovers of all types.

The festivities start at 11:00 AM and run until 4:00 PM.  At noon, the Eddye and Bill White Hot Diggity Dog Parade kicks off in front of the Kent Stage and travels down Main Street to the band stand in the plaza. The parade will be led by last year’s Top Dog, Buddy Sessions, followed by Kent State Dogs on Campus and everyone else who wishes to participate. After the parade, a Best Dressed Dog contest will be held.

The day will be filled with music (by F.O.G., Delaney & Theda, Jim Zeller and others), food, beer, veterinarian booths, K-9 demonstrations, dog product venders, lots of give-away items, a 6 foot inflatable tick, temporary tattoos and plenty of family fun.

Major funding for Dog Days is provided by the Burbick Foundation and Eddye & Bill White/Twin Star Lanes. For further information please contact Chas Madonio of the Madonio Family Animal Welfare Trust at 330-958-8848.
