Who’s up for some tasty food, socializing, and a chance to hear more about a great ministry called Joni and Friends? Do you or someone that you know have family or friends affected by disability and you want to learn more? Maybe you ask what a Food Crawl is? It’s a fun time of fellowship and, of course, excellent food! Joni and Friends Ohio is pleased to announce a Food Crawl in Kent, where we will not only feed you with tasty foods but provide a fun opportunity to hear more about disability ministry and how you can participate in changing a life! What one thing unites us all, whether we are living with or without disabilities? The common denominator for all of us is food! Nearly 1 billion people around the world live with disabilities. Many of these individuals and their families live in poverty, pain, and despair, but we all need food to live! Joni Eareckson Tada said this about food… “If good-tasting food is just a hint of something far more wonderfully fulfilling in heaven, wow, think of what is in store for us all.” Join us on May 1st from 12:30 PM to 5:15 PM in Kent as we travel to 3 area homes to eat, join others in the community, and hear about the ministry of Joni and Friends and how each of us can make a difference to support those with disabilities. We will meet first at Freedom Fellowship Church (500 VFW Pkwy, Kent, OH 44240) at 12:30 PM, before heading out on our food crawl. There will be a different course of lunch (soup, salad, sandwiches) at the homes, and then we will meet at Freedom Fellowship to have dessert and coffee/tea.
