Event Description:KENT STATE HOLDS ANNUAL VETERANS’ JOB FAIR -- “SERVING THOSE WHO HAVE SERVED US”
Kent State University will host its annual job fair for members of the U.S. Armed Forces at the Kent State University Stark Campus Conference Center, located at 6000 Frank Avenue NW in North Canton on Thursday, August 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Titled “Serving Those Who Have Served Us,” the Veterans’ Job Fair supports Ohio’s veterans, particularly unemployed and underemployed veterans.
The job fair creates a unique and empowering opportunity for veterans to speak with employers who have specific job openings and are interested in hiring members of the Armed Forces. Additionally, the fair provides targeted resources to assist veterans in getting connected with services and programs they, or their spouses, may be eligible for through the Veterans Administration.
Veteran job seekers can register for the fair by visiting www.kent.edu/hr/veterans-job-fair, where they can find more information, such as a day-at-a-glance and a list of frequently asked questions.
The Veterans Job Fair is a collaboration between various departments within Kent State University, including the Division of Human Resources, the Career Services Center, and the Center for Adult and Veteran Services. Other integral collaborators include OhioMeansJobs and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
